I just picked this up today for very little money. I don't know how old it is, but it sure was filled w/ a lot of spiders [yuk!]. i like the colors and it will look good at the nursery.

I want one of these bad! Most are not old but they sure are cool! They come in a zillion colors. I have let some two slip through my fingers! Put it between some out door seating to hold your beverage of choice.
I know that a lot of them were made in the late 1970's also and into the 80's. I remember seeing a pair of them on an Architectural Digest cover in an apartment. A few months later the same decor appeared in my friends apt. They used a pair of these with a glass top for a coffee table. The friend also handpainted the iris paintings that were also featured in the cover photo. It was strange to pic up the magazine and then walk into their living room and it was recreated perfectly !~ Apparently these have been made since the 60's and possibly earlier.
