rustic folk art sculpture of a praying Mantis

So I saw this piece and had to have him...or her?
what can I say? I like bugs... I really know very little about this category of art but I liked the rustic appearance and the patina of the rust . I have a sense it,s a one off... but maybe someone recognizes this as a particular artists work. Any information would be great.
