I saved this from an estate, that was being trashed. I do not collect cigars, but I loved the art. The colors are vivid and clear. The print itself is untouched, but the edges have some minor wear.
The copyright is 1889.

This is all I really know about it. The pics do not do it justice. I beleive (but could be wrong) that this may be kind of rare, so I just wanted to share it. I have not had it reframed yet, still in frame I found it in. So any scratches you see are from the glass.
I would love more info on the company, so I can share the knowledge!

Brett Litho Co. 1852-1958

After emigrating to Philadelphia from France, Alphonse Bret found work at the lithography shop of Thomas Sinclair. By 1852 he had set up his own shop, which largely produced prints, sheet music covers, and book illustrations. After moving to New York he opened Brett & Company in 1861. Ten years latter he briefly partnered with J.C. Fairchild, but in 1872 they split up and the firm was renamed the Brett Lithographing Company. They went on to produce a number of chromolithographic trade cards and postcards. Brett died in 1899 but the firm stayed in business. They operated out of Long Island City after 1908 until they were purchased by the United States Printing & Litho Company in 1958.
Well that great info. coincides with the 1899, the New York address and the company name. That gives me hope that is not a repro. But it does say copyright 1899, so i'm not sure. Once again, thanks Phil, your a superstar!
