I think this an English pedestal salt boat, circa. 1800. It has a press moulded oval shaped pedestal foot with a star cut base. Cut diamonds on the bowl and a scalloped edge. The bowl and foot are cut all over.
This is the first pedestal salt boat I purchased over 20 years ago in Islington in London. I think it cost £5.
