I found this vase at an estate auction here in Vermont. I dont know anything about it since I cant seem to find anything comparible.
The vase is 9 3/4" tall and just over 3" across the mouth
It appears to be some kind of earthenware like yellow ware, not heavy like stoneware. Definitely hand painted with colored slip glaze and sgraffito outlined.
There are no markings of any kind. Light crazing that seems to only be in the yellowish areas rather than the robins egg blue. Otherwise excellent condition. It looks old to me but I welcome any comments or information you might have about the origins of this mysterious treasure :)
