I adore this set. They are reverse painted glass, with etched glass bottoms. The flower patterns on the base are outlined in black and all carved. The tops are also done in a flower petal shape. These are done in art deco style, although I am unsure of the age. I have had them for some years now, another auction purchase, I paid $10.00, what a steal!
