I found these items in a heap of fabric pieces from my mother and grandmothers fabric stash. ie quilt making pieces and I believe civil war era fabric. From what I could find these images were popular around the 1940's. My mother did not do embroidery but my grandmother and great grandmother did. I think they are just beautiful. That is all I know.

I think my grandmother or great grandmother embroidered these but I do not know. I believe the images were popular around the 1940's. My mother was born in the 1940's. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm not an expert on embroidery by any means, but I'd guess these are from earlier than the 1940s. The fonts on the design look like they are from the early 20th century. Of course, the design could be much older than the actual embroidery. People kept handwork around for years without working it, or finishing it. Awesome pieces, they look nice framed!
They look great framed-- I love patriotic motifs!
