Good Morning Phatbuddha,
Another great find. That is definitely a Ford Mustang emblem on your buckle. I am not too sure about the age, but the 70's sound about right. I am thinking that leather buckles were "in" during the time period. Having owned several mustangs, I have always loved their emblems. Talk to you later, Thrifty.
Hiya thrifty :) I'm glad you like. What mustangs did you have?
In the uk you Rarely see they but when you do they are always so nice to look at n hear as they ton it down the road :)
I'm sure the Buckle is from the us as its got alumaline and not Aluminium as we call it.
Well, I had a couple of 70's fast backs and the last one I owned was a 2007 GT. Lost that one in a curve doing about 87 mph and got stopped by a pine tree! Spent a month in the hospital, a week of that in a comma! I still have the aches and pains. Needless to say I don't own any Mustangs anymore. Alumaline is a material made of aluminum with something added to it. We also use the spelling "aluminum" here in the U.S. If you go to ebay and type in "Alumaline 4108 Belt Buckle", it will pull up several buckles similiar to yours. They mostly had nature scenes on them. Hope everything works out on your job, things are definitely slow evrywhere these days it seems. Talk to you later, Thrifty
Oh my that sounds pretty Intense,That's a long time to be in the Hospital. Glad to hear you are ok now. I do love them fastbacks. One day I mite rent one out. At the moment I'm driving a vw golf r32"rabbit" 3.2 litre 6v. It's a great car :)
Thanks for the info on the Alumina,I did not know that. il have a look on eBay. Thanks again.
Have a great day thrifty :)
Alumaline is an old company in Lexington. KY since 1940 that makes many different metal promotional advertising items, like buckles, money clips, etc. Alumaline is a registered trademark of the Nelson B. Boone Co., Louisville, KY
Thanks for the update on the "Alumaline" mustangtony. I was pretty much guessing on it. I did not realize that was a company name! Thrifty
