Caramel Swirled Art Glass

I saw this at Traderbaker's a while back. I liked the color, but not so much the style, so I didn't get it. After looking at so much beautiful art glass on here and other places, I regretted not getting it. Well it was still there the other day...so here it is. The only way I can describe it is as a smashed cornucopia or jack-in-the-pulput. The curly tail is hollow. There are no marks that I can find. I've been told that it is either Mexican or Italian mid 1970s...not doubting that info, but other ideas ARE very welcome :)
