I need to know about this doll and others I will be posting today. Is this a compitition doll? It was my mothers when she was young, she probably had this one in 1940. This doll has sleeping eyes. There are no markings that I can see. If anyone can help that would be great.

She is made of composition and these type of dolls would be late 1930's-through 1940's . She has had her lips repainted and I wonder about the blue shadow around eyes if that is original . These type of dolls as well as your other one the mama doll have very little value in todays market and searching for a name because she is not unique would be difficult .
She maybe marked sometimes it just looks like raised spots and a pencil rubbed across that area will bring out name it would be on bottom of neck . And her composition is in beautiful condition a big plus ! Very nice doll
