Here we've another Japanese piece, for this one i'm asking for help. The mark as been removed, but that's ot what i wanna know. Does someone knows what is the meaning of it? Is it some kind of buddha?

    Hi Cesar, this Hotei, one of the Japanese Seven Lucky Gods. He is frequently shown with a staff and large sack, in which are held gifts and toys. He is sometimes shown seated on the sack, and as yours, simply seated. He is somewhat the equivalent of the western Santa Claus and usually has a wide smile.
