This is the latest of the glass items I've added to my collection.

It's no secret that I love this creamer and sugar-bowl sets... I can say I am almost obsessed with them. I have got them in glass, porcelain, ceramics, plastic, metal... I guess they should even be a collection on their own right!

On the other hand, I love Kaj Franck's designs and their simplicity and boldness.

So if we mix them up we get this amazing PURTILO set designed in 1967.

On the fourth picture they appear by the decanter from the same series I got about two years ago. This series was made in green, amber and clear glass. So far I've been lucky to get them in the same colour, but there's a series of them (vases, bowls) i would like to get in the other two colours... some time in the future.

Well... so many things! I am afraid you can just wait and see as they come out. There's so many of them I cannot post them all in a week (plus it wouldn't be as much fun!) I guess one item a day is a good ratio :)

HAHA!!! Well, you know how I do it!!
First of all this is my (trashy) set and lighting (last picture):

      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/52876-a-glass-collectors-living-room-ii

I then use a tiny little bit of photoshop (I've improved my technique with less but more effective steps... just colour correction and a little silhouetting at the top, which isn't really necessary, but I like having the background of the picture fading to white at the top).

I can show you the steps if you want (and got photoshop, no matter how old the version... I am using Photoshop 5.5!!!) ;)

It would be so fun to see them all together!
      Hope you are doing well!

Thanks Amber. I think the paperwork is at last coming to an end or, at least, it doesn't depend on me alone anymore. All the rest is just fine (except, of course, for the no job thing).

      ¡Un abrazo!

I can give you a babysitting job...
Good about the paperwork, bad about the job

I've found out about the stickers (thanks to a very kind finn) and the silver one was used from 1971 to 1975, whereas the blue one was used during 1976 and 1977. I've also learned that from 1971 to 1977 the glass production from Nuutajärvi Notsjö wore the ARABIA label... apparently they thought that the Arabia brand was more important from an international point of view, and there is also the chance that this change of label is related to Nuutajärvi becoming a part of Iittala, but still not the same factory nor the same products...

It could certainly be that way. It is the oddest thing for glass items from a well known glass brand to wear the labels of a well known pottery brand... :)
