lovedecant…
(186 items)
A Georgian tapered decanter, circa 1790. Cut with shallow hobnails, panels, faux neck rings with diamonds cut in and with a luna cut lozenge stopper. It is 12.5 inches high.
This decanter has it all. When you consider the cutting would have been done with a foot peddle powered cutting wheel, it must have taken days to cut and polish and would have cost a fortune in its time. It's a big'un too, and should hold well over litre. You know I'm cheap, it cost me £33.
