This is a reproduction of a glass from the middle ages, probably relatively new. The same is true of this glass as it was of the jug I have, it is trying to reproduce the not just the design but the quality of the material.
I bought off eBay a couple of years ago, I have seen others since. If you get the chance to have one, go for it, they are skillfully made, delicate and tactile.
