Once again our 10 year old glass collector, Joshua has acquired a new ewer shape to add to the Ruckl puzzle and it is the bloody oxblood ewer with applied Acanthus leaf pictured with another matching ewer shape done in the rainbow honeycomb decor.

All of these examples are considered, Victorian Bohemian Export. The ewer shape is unique. Ruckl added various applied handles with a leaf shape. Both of the ewers in the first pic have an acanthus leaf applied on the front and the stem is the open loop handle. The other (oxblood) ewer from the 3rd pic, has the acanthus leaf applied at the bottom of the handle. What may appear to be a blob of glass at first glance is a leaf and the stem is the open handle with pinched thorns.

Measurements:
Bloody Oxblood in first pic is 7-3/4" tall
Rainbow Honeycomb in first pic is 7-1/4" tall
Blood Oxblood in the 3rd pic is 6-7/8" tall.

YOU GO BOY!!! Congrats to obtaining another piece of the puzzle Josh! To think you will be 11 soon and you already have a way better collection than most of us. You should be very proud, I would be. I hope you continue to collect and learn as you get older and wiser with age. Who knows, someday you may decide to sell one and get rich. Who knows what can happen in the future, Im just very happy that you have it! They are all stupendous and marvelous!!!

Hey Josh, I heard that you like thorn vases! I wonder if you could talk Mom and Dad into posting some of your collection. I like them too, I just added my 2nd vase yesterday. They are pretty cool, and different.

Thanks, Daniel. Sorry, we missed out... lol I believe you when you tell me there was a lot of this kind of glass, because through my years of research.... I have acquired a lot of it from across the pond!

    Thanks, Nootch.

Thank you, Amber. Always a joy to hear from you.
