Finnish flow-blue! Moons ago I had thought about getting a full set of Valencia. But then these ideas get superseded by other great ideas and the beat goes on..... At the Salvos the other day I saw a familiar blue on a little saucer. Really dark blue on white. Magpie eyes and mind! Flipped it over and saw the marks that the painter had added with such flair. Bingo! Where's the cup? Moved around the aisles and no success immediately until I found it in a stack of little cups at the back of a shelf. Gotcha! No chips? Look at the mark on the cup too! It will go with the cereal bowl I picked up in Melbourne six months ago! Breakfast! With the Tiffany Demitasse pot: Breakfast at Tiffany's!
Ulrika (Ulla) Eleonora Matilda Procopé (November 17, 1921 Helsinki, Finland - December 21, 1968 Tenerife) was a Finnish designer of ceramics. Her work has been produced by the Arabia company in Finland from 1948-1968.
Lots of painting on such little cups.
Love the dot in the centre of the saucer!
So I went out and bought an espresso coffee machine to match!
