      By the curve to the main blade & the other spear point style, I would say it is for fighting & wouldn't want it coming at me. Now whether it is orig. or not, I can't say from a pic. but maybe others who know these better can. Bon chance.

      I have a similar axe head similar to yours only more pitted. If you find out anything about yours, let me know. I too would like to learn of the origin of this head.

      Could possibly be a Sheldon Wells: "VINTAGE LEWIS TOMAHAWK. FROM THE SHELDON WELLS CO. KINZUA, PA. THESE DATE FROM THE LATE 40'S AND EARLY 50'S.
