I picked up this flask with the words Fire Water embossed on it. I purchased it for $15.00 at a garage sale. It doesn't have any maker marks that I can see but appears to be sterling silver. Does anyone know who made this type flask (american or overseas) and what time period. This flask is in excellent condition with great pantina. I have only seen one other like it that sold on ebay some years ago that had been cleaned but had little information on it.

Thank you for sharing this interesting piece. Very good find. Nice detail/execution. I plan to check back to see what you learn about it.
If it's sterling, it would be hallmarked or have sterling, .925, or 925/1000 somewhere on the piece. Use a 10x loupe and inspect every inch of the piece, even inside the top collar.
