Pictured is a Western Electric 302 telephone manufactured between 1937 and 1949. The original cloth cord was replaced with a black plastic cord before the phone came into my possession.

NicoleJere, your Western Electric 300 model desk set was first manufactured in 1937, a new ideal was to place the bells in the base of the telephone.
According to the eBay seller from whom I purchased the phone, this particular one was manufactured only two years before they ceased production of this model. However, I will alter the description.
