This is a Whitefriars ribbed sapphire bowl, with an applied rigaree ring foot, designed by Barnaby Powell in the 1930s. It is 12 inches across
I bouthg this at a antiques fair in the early 90s for about £12. Rigaree is the name Whitefriars gave to milled rings of applied glass, don't ask me where it came from.
