I pick this one up for $3. It looks to me like "pinchback" and the stone looks like an aquamarine. It is very well done. The closure looks like it is from the late 1800's, but I learned that it was also used much later. Anyway, I like the pin.

It is solid and has a number on the back. But the number doesn't have a K or CT. I don't think it's gold - but I like it nevertheless. :) Thanks for your comment.

Thanks vintagejewel. This piece looks like the real thing but it is not marked with traditional makings. There are some numbers on the left hand side, second picture. Maybe I should give it a second look.
