Early Loetz Candia Papillon art glass vase, 1898 Prod. Nr. 7602 the vase is stunning! and i couldnt be more thrilled to have it.. a nice "new" loetz color for me.. i have managed to get some really beautiful pieces lately, and most are green ground... so it's a nice addition.. it stands 9 3/4" tall and has a 2 3/4" base.. i really love the shape, bottle shape, i think.. great condition.

I like to display these mixed in with the greens. they look really nice together. the colors are harmonious and break up the monotony of one color type.

Another good example of Loetz with a flat top and no polished pontil. Some still believe they don't exist.
The rim didn't require any real working, so there wasn't much reason to put a punty on it. That, and it took much less time to make, as they didn't have to grind and polish it.
dlfd - they certainly do exist... I have a couple of examples of Loetz ground rim, no pontil in my cabinets... Nice vase czechman!
