Imperial German beer stein of Wurttemberg Grenadier "Hornist" (Trumpeter) Miller who served with the 11th company, Grenadier Regiment Koenigin Olga, No. 119 stationed in Stuttgart from 1904-1906. The stein has grenadier reservists stationed at each side of the King’s picture the one on the left wears "swallow tails" on the shoulders of his tunic (all musicians wore these, even in the field).. A lion with the Württemberg Shield and crown plus helmet, shoulder board, field pack, bayonet, etc. surrounding King Karl's central picutre, with the regiment's shoulder board depicted at lower left. The stein is in mint condition except for a very slight pewter tear where the lid joins the lift.
