This is one of my favorite CDVs. I love the 3 old girls. They have fabulous hats (and of course I love the hats!). They also have attitutude. I don't know if they are going for tea or to a suffragette meeting! The picture was taken in New Brunswick, and represents the sturdy Canadian stock from which I originate. No they are not family as far as I know. Best of all the pic is a platinograph and has the amazing depth and definition characteristic of this photographic method. The outfits dates the photo at about maybe 1910ish, which would be the outside edge of when this method was commonly used. No backstamp so I don't know much about the photographer except that he was damn good.
