I found this necklace in a lot of jewelry I once bought.
My husband fell in love at first sight when he spotted it. I needed some more time.
But I wear it occasionally in the summer and I must admit it does look fine when worn. So I'm never going to part with it. Its just such a statement piece.
The blue beads are glass and the links are brass or some sort of copper. All beads are present. Its really heavy when you wear it. So when do you think it was made? I think it may date from the sixties or seventies.

This is SO great - and I bet it looks fabulous on you! The color is yummy. It reminds me of designs by Josef of Hollywood. Have you read that story on this site - very interesting. I don't know how old it is and haven't seen one in my hunting. Really fun!

The link would suggest 1940's-50's, also this style is referred to as a "bib" necklace. Very nice!

Thanks Bellin68, brigitte and Stillwater for loving.
Stillwater, thanks for your comment. And you are right, its a 'bib' necklace. I really didn't know that word till now. They seem to be very popular nowadays. :-)
