This is one of my finds from my monthly routine around the local thrift shops. This projector was just screaming for me to take it home and give it a good bath. So I did and while doing so I noticed that this was once in the hands of the U.S. Navy. A little more curiousity gained me the knowledge that it was used by the MP's or Military Police. I love the fact that this projector has a white billow instead of what you would normally see which is the black ones. When the billow is fully extended this projector reaches an astonishing 27" long! It retains its original steel case which is in somewhat rough condition and rusting. I was thrilled to see when I cleaned this up and turned it on it still works. The bulbs for this are 500 watts and around $50 ea. I have sit here wondering what kind of work this projector has seen. Was it used in briefings with the soldiers, or to show enemy positions to our troops. Im still working at finding more out about this projector and will post any new information as it becomes available. It has a very art deco feel to it and I can see this set up in a movie room in a very nice home. Thanks everyone.
