NEVER SAY THERE IS NO MORE ROOM FOR A LAMP. PARTICULARLY ONE OF THESE.

ACCORDING TO THE BELLOVA WEBSITE, THE LINE WAS INTRODUCED BY IN 1923 BY H.G. McFADDIN & CO.

THIS SHAPE, CALLED THE GNOME LAMP, CAME IN THREE SIZES. MINE COMES IN AS A MEDIUM SIZED AT 9.5".

THE WEBSITE ALSO HAS A PAGE FULL OF MARKS AND SIGNATURES, BUT NONE CORRESPONDS TO THE MARK ON THE SHADE.

MY VERY FIRST BELLOVA, THE FULFILLMENT OF A LONG- CHERICHED WISH.

The top line of the mark says "patented". First time I have seen that mark on a Czech piece.

Hi...I am the owner of bellova.com, and I'm sorry to say that your lamp, while similar to Bellova gnome lamps in composition, is not a Bellova lamp. It is Czechoslovakian, and I'm sure made around the same time as Bellova lamps, but it was presumably made by one of Bellova's competitors. It does not appear in any of their catalogs, is not entirely the correct shape and while I have seen many of these over the years, I have never seen one signed Bellova, as all authentic Bellova lamps are. It's a nice lamp.....just not Bellova. Bruce Bleier, bellova.com.
