Here is my best thrift shop finding in a long long time. This is some kind of jar. The lid tests for sterling, and has taken me a long time to polish. The top was black when I bought it for $1.81. Does anyone recognize it or the marking on the bottom? I would love to know more about it. Thanks!!!

beautiful:)
Mustard, I'd say and there would have been a set.
It would fit into a stand with an octagonal fitting.
hey thanks bellin68 and vetraio50 for the comments, thanks walksoftly for the love!
Very nice that it still retains much or all of the plating! So many of these have lost their plating. A word of caution, some of these contained lead, so please use with caution. Think you and vetraio are correct re the mustard. : )
