I have always loved the art deco pixie bookends since I first found a single one with the arm cut off. It was not for sale, but a year later I did buy it as the store was closing. To this day, I cannot but try to bid on these bookends, as I love them so much !!
They have always been incorrectly called Gerdago girls, but he did not sculpt ones identical to these. The correct sculptor as in the Encyclop. of Bronzes is Fayral, a French 20th century sculptor.
There are 2 varieties. This is the variety that holds the book in 2 hands with a more masculine face.
I will post the other variety in a second posting.

I believe they are about 5 1/2 in tall around 7 inches long. They are bookends.
