This frame is built around US shell casings and bullet tips. The casings that are visible all bear a 1918 date.
The top bar is adorned with shirt and hat size Eagle, Globe and Anchor (EGA). The insignia have both Latitude and Longitude lines.
The entire items has been silvered.
While the casings are dated 1918, I believe that this is a later piece-- maybe a between the World Wars piece. The USMC was very active in those years.
See my other postings for numerous other USMC related items as well as trench art.
