Moonstonel…
(163 items)
This is my personal treasure that I first thought were different coloured Amethysts set into solid 14k Rose Gold. I fell in love with and bought the bracelet thinking they were my birthstone. At that time I paid $210.00 for it. I wore it one day and I noticed that the stones seemed a deeper more intense colour of Amethyst then usual......And as the story goes I forgot purple Sapphires existed...especially in a bracelet with so many! So I took it to my jeweler at the time to have it tested. The results were that this was indeed Natural Purple Sapphires from way back when! I totally freaked! I rarely wear the bracelet..thinking that I will damage it...
The Sapphires measure 7mmx 7mm are the ends Sapphires and the largest ones in the middle are 10mm x 10mm the bracelet measures 6.75 and weighs 19.6 grams. The beauty of the Sapphires are that all of them are a little different and none are the same colour or cut...I was told they were handcut and I believe custom made....the bracelet came from a friend who's, Mother was a nurse to the Maharaja of India and his family for many years. The family often gave extravagant gifts to family and friends as the story goes.

Absolutely beautiful
Very beautiful!!! Incredible!
I love the gold men's bracelets I have and can imagine what a joy to be told the stones were real. Its a treasure !~Phil.
It is beautiful!! When you get time take a look at my cross and bracelet, and gold Mt. Fuji ring!!! The other bracelet does look like onyx to me.
Today I am wearing the bracelet and treasure it! I love...Sapphires and collect them like Moonstones...Sapphires are alot more $$$$ and harder to find! Hard to put in my budget! Have to find a Sugar Daddy :0
This is beautiful. I hope you wear it on special occasions....ha, ha - always keeping hold of it. I have some very special items that I'm afraid to wear but why? Just enjoy it (safely). Don't laugh but my brooches are safety-pinned or taped on the back side of my jackets. I have also come up w/a safety chain for my favorite bracelets that didn't come w/one. Put a small circle clasp on both sides of a 1-1/2" small link chain and clip to both ends of your item. I made a few of these which can be removed and used on other bracelets - or even necklaces.
Fine jewelry usually has a safety chain but if it doesn't - this is a way to wear your lovely old treasure w/confidence.
By the way - I see your bracelet already has a safety chain.
valentino97 what a great idea! I will have a removeable saftey chain for my other ones! Thanks! Just asking..what do you think this bracelet might be worth? I almost do not want to know. I know I am in the business...but this is a personal item. Let me know your thoughts :)
Sapphires! I like the dimension the color differences adds. I too have jewelry I am afraid to wear. I think I have lamented before about breaking opals. I also have some beautiful stuff that snags
AmberRose, thats what drew me to the bracelet were the different coloured stones...and I love purple! I feel blessed to have found one of my dream bracelets! Will be an heirloom to my girls!
You might search the internet for something similar for value. I don't know but it is really lovely. A great heirloom to leave your girls. Be sure you put some provenance in with it so they know how special it is. I bet this looks really pretty on you. I would wear it w/a lavendar print shawl/scarf or embroidered pashmina over a black dress. Yummy! Makes me want to get dressed up and go somewhere special.
Stunning!..my birthstone!..:-)
oops! my mistake I looked and fell in love before reading, I too thought they were Amethysts...:-)
OMG...I did the same thing when I got it...lol :0
Valentino97 I checked everywhere...and cannot find anything similar on the internet. Maybe I am not looking carefully enough. Ever since I found out that they were Sapphires I have been searching to no avail on the pricing of them :( Maybe you can help me.....
PhilDavidAlexanderMorris, would you know about how to price a bracelet like this one? Since you have a mens version of one like this? Please let me know your thoughts....
Many beautiful pieces of jewelery are made in India. That is a place to start since you have a little bit of background there. Also, take it back to your jeweler and ask more questions if you can.
officialfuel, thank you for your loving!!!
