This is a Georgian ale glass with hops and barley etched on the bowl, circa 1790-1800.

This one is a little different to the usual, the guy who did the etching must have gone to a different school to the others. Normally there are two heads of barley and the hops are fairly symetrical, he has done one head of barley and the middle hop is leaning to one side. How outrageous is that, doesn't he know he has a tradition to follow. This one barley head, bent hop glass is surely a reject.

Note a tiny piece of frit embedded in the stem.
