This newborn doll was a gift for my mother. One of my mothers older friends was nice enough to give it to me. She knew how much my mother wanted one & how I was trying to save up for a realistic handmade one. Now I'm just wondering what company made it. I don't think it's as old as some of the others that show up online because it says made in china but the body looks very similar to others. The girl version went to someone else & I'd love to get a hold of one just like the one I gave my mother. I have no idea what these dolls are named or what clothes, diapers, etc. they came with originally.

There are many dolls that look like this on ebay. Not very expensive You probably can find the mate on ebay.
Here is one similar . These dolls were made mass produced marked China, some of these newborns are artist made and can be much more money and have their name marked on them. Your's is not real old but then none really are they have only been popular in last 5-10 years :-) They are also called Reborn Dolls which are very intricate and look just like a real live baby . Yours does not it is made more as a toy doll.
