This is the "Avondale" from Hammond. Batteries: what they are good for? This is the question that anybody would ask, after learning about this clock. It has the bichronous movement which runs for up to 30 minutes during a power interruption... the power interruption problem was solved?…. yes, almost 80 years ago!!! What’s more important, the beauty of this clock is undisputable.

I have one of this same clock Bichronous. Serial Number is #B-36302, i was wondering if u can tell me what it's worth. It is not in the best of shape and missing the knobs off the back. The cord is frayed but im told can be fixed. Has been in the family for years and years. Selling everything now but was told since it was an antique may be worth something. Thanks so much for any input.
