This CDV shows a man with his dog, showing one of his (dog's) tricks. The dog has his paw out and is shaking hands.
The photograph is by Crawford of Dixon, IL and can be dated to 1866. The US Revenue tax stamp on the box is cancelled with initials and "1866".
