The SA dagger was given to me by a vet in the early 50's & the SS was given to me in the late 70's by a Col. who said he found it in an officers boot when captured. Lightening my load, I sold them several years ago after searching for relatives. Both had been kept in excellent condition & I continued that tradition of course.

Nice...I still have the SS black but never found the SA version...Will have to post mine but the blade finish is a bit "pockmarked". What with yours, mine and Bluemax's...we could have a fine old collection between us!

It's strange that the SA was always more common when the SS was a larger organization.
I think post war..a lot of SS gear was destroyed out-of-hand because of the obvious "negative" connotations associated!
Negative connotations? I can't imagine that! Actually Steve, it seems more of the originals are showing up as the old soldiers die off & the families don't have that association with with treasured souvenirs.
Hockey fans, I'm off line mostly because of Heineken Regatta & parties. Only 2 more days of partying.
