An amazing clock has entered the clock shop! It is made of alabaster marble with a band of French rouge marble at the bottom of the front panel. It has a classic art deco shape. The face is amazing - obviously custom created for the clock, the art deco arabic numerals are stylized and stretched to acomodate the diamond shaped face. On the face it says A. Uteau and Bordeaux - assumably someone named A. Uteau in Bordeaux made this funkly face for the clock. Inside is a Marti movement - it "pings" on the hour and half hour with the clearest little ding - soft and yet clear and sweet. On each front corner is a bronze spandrel with a totally iconic art deco shape. About a foot tall and wide and 4 inches thick. I just love this clock and am going to have trouble seeing it go to the shop.
