I think this is possibly an early glass paperweight, however I am unable to find any maker marks, although I believe that there could be one within the design of the paperweight itself.
Thanks to kindy for the information; Clichy millefiori paperweight with a close pack of crafted flowers

Take a moment to carefully examine the canes themselves. Sometimes makers create a 'signature' cane.

I am still looking rniederman, although I think there may not be a 'signature' on this one.

Hmmm... I don't think its Clichy. Colors aren't typical, and their bottoms are typically ground flat. What makes you think Clichy?

Hi Stillwater, only going by what others have told me, as I know nothing about them, always open to suggestions.

Definitely millefiori which means "a thousand flowers" - Italian
