Hey got what appears to be an older hood ornament or radiator cap. This eagle is made of some type of heavy metal and is in overall decent shape. I'm looking to find what type of vehicle it may have belonged to or what time period its from.

Flag pole topper
That could be but the bottom of the piece looks like its to be fitted into something I don't c why a flag would need that.
This is a topper that fits into a an aluminum flag pole like the ones people hang outside their homes. The string goes thru the hole at the base. I have at least six of these. The cheapo ones are made of plastic. You have a metal one, probably brass.
Look up "flag pole kits" on amazon - you will see them
Thanks Tony i will check it out...bummer
Not really a bummer - I don't think anyone makes them in metal anymore. They are all plastic cheapo china-made now.
