    I love the tinting on this one-- it is exceptionally well done.

    This 1850s ambrotype shows a boy in a green dress and frilly white underneath!

    The image is a NINTH plate.

    Boys in dresses was common in 19th century images and continued well into the 20th century.

    Reproduction of these images in any form is prohibited.

      Thanks rob. I have found that quality ambrotypes are starting to receive a lot of attention from foks who used to be strict daguerreotype collectors. Tinted ambrotypes are very popular!
