A Dog of Flanders is an 1872 novel by English author Marie Louise de la Ramée published with her pseudonym "Ouida". It is about a Flemish boy named Nello and the titular dog, Patrasche.

The book was first published in 1872 by Chapman and Hall Publishers. The only edition I can find that was published by H.M. Caldwell is the 1890 edition. Since this book was published prior to 1923 it is in what is called the "public domain" and literally millions of copies have been printed and are still being printed currently. There was also a movie released in 1988 - I would estimate your book with a missing title page / publisher information would only have a value of $10 or so to a collector of early books.
