I love this and wish I lived in an era where I could use it. With just me, my DH and a 24 yr old daughter that pretty much comes and goes, the days of huge dinner parties are over...and who has the strength for that any more.
This beautiful piece comes from a different time. Many years ago I work for an elderly lady that ate a crust-less watercress sandwich for her lunch every day. I can just picture them being served on this.
The pattern is Morning Glory ( I think) and look closely as you can see how the flowers form the word "sterling"
