Steiffgal
(27 items)
Here we have a very early version of Steiff's Loewe or lion. Lion is about 22 cm tall and 27 cm long not including his tail. He is 5 ways jointed, standing on all fours, and made from mustard colored mohair. His mane is made from longer tipped mohair that is slightly lighter in color. His tail is tipped with this same longer mohair. His face is detailed with brown and black glass pupil eyes, a pink hand embroidered nose, and a black embroidered mouth. He has black embroidered claws on each of his paws.
This lion was made in 22 cm only from 1910 through 1942. This particular model has the 4 mm trailing "F" button and remains of his white ear tag, putting his production in the roughly 1910 through 1925 time frame.
