I have been nervously awaiting the arrival of this vase since purchasing almost two weeks ago. I have not seen many Poschinger signatures before, but I am hoping with all I have that this one is legit. I have a great fondness for JIP vases of all kinds and when I saw this one, I definetly wanted to add it to my collection.
This vase measures a hair over 6" high and 8 1/4" at the rim and 4 1/4' at the base. It also has a beautifully polished pontil as well. I am unsure of the age and have not been able to do the research yet because of the pain from an allergic reaction I believe came from an authentic camel saddle I ran across yesterday. I will probably return today due to this aweful blistering rash i now have. Sorry, got a little off the path there....
If there are any avid Poschinger collectors out there that can help me determine if this is the real deal, I would love to hear from you. Golden Crown E&R foil label it bears is a great sign that it is legitimate, but yet to be determined. Thanks for looking and any help I can recieve.

WOW , SUCH BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stunning as well nice one!!!!!!!!!!! , im so glad to be the first one to see this:)
Thanks Sean, I wish I had time to discuss this a little longer, but I have a two hour drive to make to Dr. office and have to leave soon. just rushed to get this on here. We can talk later, damn camel saddle I got yesterday is giving me a terrible blistering rash that is painful than anything I have ever experienced...never been so excited to have an appt. in all my life! :(
Thanks for the love and comments Sean as well.
your very welcome JayHow!!!!!!!!!!! get well soon buddy :) i bet your in pain:(
is totally beautiful:) and stunning:)
It's the real deal. congrats!
gorgeous stuff! feel better soon!
Thanks for the comments and compliment GSO, and the concern too! Dr. has me on high strength steroids and antibiotics so this should be short lived, I hope. But...where's the love? :) I felt like this was a good chance to take, one can never be sure until it arrives. Any idea's on the date this was made. Early 1900? or do you think perhaps later?
Many thanks for the love...

Thanks for the love Geno
Oh honey feel better. Camels are tricky animals.
Thank you AmberRose...I wish someone would have told me BEFORE I touched the damn thing...LOL
Stunning!! vase JayHow... love the purple iridescent on the black so dramatic, also love that rim!...well done!...hope you are feeling better!...:-)
Thanks Inky for the interest and concern...Much appreciated. I can't get enough of the colors on this vase. they are so matalic in touch. I know they would use different metal oxides on the glass to create the colour. Someone at Poschinger used alot of oxide on this beauty, and I am sure glad he did. I wish everyone could experience the qualities of the glass made in europe when this was made. it is quite substantial for its size as well. Could be crystal under all that colour..? It is definetly a "Keeper"!! Thanks for the love.
just found it jay -- absolutely love the color and texture -- just like looking into a black south seas tiahitian oyster -- still hoping you will post the camel saddle with the story -- i think the members would absolutely love it -- of course plan to be on the computer -- because it will certainly draw the comments -- have a great weekend and take care of the rash -- naughty ole camel!!!!! -- or perhaps the camel driver that left the stain
Good to see you on my post Ozmary. Haven't heard anything from you in a little while. I hope all is well in your part of the world. There is Sooo much to see on here, I can get lost if Im not careful. Thanks for the Love...

Camel rash?? Did they put you one the medi pack of steroids?
Anyway, the piece is gorgeous and I love JIPs, too but I don't think i will ever be able to collect a piece as fine as this one
Geno, stop it! You are making me blush a little I think. Yes the medi-pack of steroids is what I have been taking. the rash is gone just one stubborn blister left.
Isnt the Poschinger glass just great. I paid quite a bit for this piece, but nothing close to its actual value. I feel very blessed to be able to add this to my collection. I love it. And thank you for the love and compliments on it.
