I could use a little help on this one it measures 19 X 8 1/2 and is an 8 day with a strike on the hour I have found no markings accept the trade mark on the face so I haven't been able to even find who the trade mark belongs to. Any info would be appreciated, Thanks

Mystery Solved

Never seen that trademark before. Are there any "Made In XXX" notations on the dial, case or movement?

Bruce99 This is it no other markings what so ever, I have never pulled it apart so I don't know if the movement is marked or not.

Bruce99 I just noticed the same mark is stamped onto the metal base of the chime rod, other than that nothing.

Sorry slow with my 2 cent. I'm 90% sure, this logo is a version of U S Time, which would make this a "Waterbury" clock from probably the 1940's.

I do not have, nor can I find online any references for United States Time Corporation Trademarks, nor can I find any detailed information regarding that time frame so I can't confirm or refute what you suggest Kerry. It makes good sense though. I think it would certainly be worth looking into further schallerpen. Sorry I couldn't find more definitive info.

Bruce, if indeed a US Time Copr, trademark, the dates are from 1944-69, then the Timex name was the Company title.

Thanks to both kerry10456 and Bruce99 for your info, I guess the research continues.

Your welcome, sorry I couldn't be more sure on the trademark, but pretty sure, I'll see if I can locate the marking on something. As I made reference to earlier, I believe it to be one of the earlier logo's, but might be totally off on that, the older I get, the more things get glased over in my thinking prosess.

Thanks kerry10456 I to have been looking around US Time but haven't stumbled upon anything yet.

Thanks pops52 It's still a mystery I pulled it apart to clean & oil and it has the same markings on the plates of the works but I've had no luck finding it any where.

Solved found out it's a Japanese trade mark now to just figure out the year!

It's still rather confusing the UST trade mark comes up Seikosha then I believe it went to Seikosha, which then I think became Seiko no pun intended but it's all foreign to me!

Spell check messed up it should be Eikosha then Seikosha then Seiko.
