Found 3 of these lovely skewers? at a local car boot, originally thought they might be meat skewers but am puzzled as to why the ornate fish design on something meant for meat!! They are quite heavy, silver plated with the walker and hall makers mark and also have a name which I think is Lilleys stamped on, roughly about 7 inches long, any ideas anyone what they may have been used for and where they date to??? Any info would be greatly appreciated thankyou.

Look at your mark and match it with one of these.

I would say Meat Skewer from Late 19th century.

This company was big on fish servers and designs. I'm sure they are skewers

Thanks Vestaswind & Dave that helps a lot, kinda thought they might be skewers but the whole fish design threw me a little.... I just simply love them!!!

I have seen many figured tops. No doubt it is a Meat Skewer. Dave
