Along with an extensive collection of Coca-Cola paper items, I also collect old Coca-Cola photos. Shown here are just a few of the dozens of photos of old bottling plants (interiors and exteriors), trucks, displays, employees and street scenes depicting Coca-Cola signs.
I'm fascinated by these early photos showing the history of The Coca-Cola Company. And I'm grateful that photography was used at an early stage, so we have documents and archives of the past.
Yes, I collect Coca-Cola memorabilia....but it goes beyond just displaying my items. It's the history and preservation that excites me. Collecting paper items, meant to be used for a short period and then discarded; I'm grateful that some "early collectors" chose to keep some of these early pieces.
Unfortunately, I only wished that The Coca-Cola Company had insight to keep some of the very early bottling trucks, especially this 1930s art deco Coca-Cola custom-designed sampling vehicle, shown in the fourth photo attached. Who knows, maybe it still exists somewhere, hidden in a barn or some garage... waiting to be discovered.

Dueling Banjos tonight. You are very kind to share these incredible images, TGBWC. I download your material, enjoy it, and save for future reference. It's great to have period pics of signs and other Coca-Cola pieces to compliment collections. Good Stuff!
If you have obtained historical info from Coca-Cola, you will find the name Harry Rainwater. He was a good friend of the family & I wish I had the tiny Coke bottles with crates & all the other things he gave my sister & me as kids as they would be worth a lot now. Every time I see old Coke memorabilia I think of him. I was raised near Talladega, AL which was one of the 1st bottle plants & Coke promotion areas back then. Great memories.
Great pics TGBWC, love the history also! Would be an awesome event to find any of those old vehicles, they have to be some around somewhere!
I may not be a Coke collector, but I love these old photo's, an amazing array of vehicles & images.
