I picked this up at the fleamarket this past weekend in thoughts of my good friend Sean here on CW as Bellin68. He has some of the best mid-century modern in his collection. I believe these are silver or silverplate halmarks from Denmark. It is signed on the bottom as you can see in photo #3. I love the metalic blue on the surface and it really looks great with the silver on the bottom. I am unsure of the hallmarks on this so Im off the do the research. If there are any of you into collecting the mid-century modern items that may have information, please let me know.
As I was looking closer at the hallmark I noticed that where I though there was a crown on top with c c in it I am now wondering if it is actually 3 c'd the third is kinda hidding in the shape of the crown itself. I would love to hear some feedback. I need a stronger image and will work on getting a clearer shot.

That was one of the quickest mystery solves I have ever seen. Thanks Sean. I thought I had seen one before, didnt know it was yours...lol what kind of value does this little dish have. I know I only paid a dollar for it. Hopefully its worth four quarters...lol
Ipaid $10.00 for mine online last summer:) your very welcome buddy:) i know just 2 weeks ive spoken with a woman and shes selling hers $200.00 hers is in green.
That's music to my ears, buddy. See I have learned more than I realized off of this site. Im sure you would have been all over this for a buck. Thanks for sharing all the knowledge with me and others here on CW. I can't wait to see what I might find next! What a way to start a collection, Right?
yes it is Jerrod !!!!!!!!, i was shocked when she told me , i found hers on 1stdibs.com , your very welcome Jerrod:)
What did you search for when you found hers on there. I just did a search that site for carl christiansen and came up blank. I saw the name carl cohr on ebay that resemble the enameled look. Hmmmm?
go to http://www.1stdibs.com
Could it have been C.C.C Carl Christianen Cohr possibly? I mentioned before I had talked to you that I see a third "c" in the shape of the crown have you looked at yours. Could I be on to something?

Thanks for the love Vetraio and walksoftly
Hey JayHow. Remember 1st dibs is crazy expensive. And their pickers are super aggressive.
Gorgeous colour!...:-)
Thanks for the love inky, I know! isnt the color striking!
thanks for the love and the tip on 1stdibs. I was primarily checking out the maker she was using. I am getting confusing research on this one. Sean says carl christiansen and all the others I am seeing are carl cohr. Yet I see 3 "C" and wonder if it could be a combination on all three names. Waiting to hear from Sean to see what he thinks.
its a double cc sometimes you can see the two see c depends on how worn out it is:) but i saw the two c's plus people dont take the time to photo. ok ,ill post mine now so you can see:)
I see 3 "C" look to the top of the crown. the third C looks like it has fallen over and is about the other two. making it c.c.c., And all the ebay ones like this are calling it carl cohr?
Sorry, meant third C is above the two other ones.
I just posted mine take a look at the hallmarks:)
The mark is just CC within the crown, I think. Made by Carl F Christiansen Copenhagen Denmark. Worked from 1943-1963.

Underneath is the torchmark of the Federation of Danish Goldsmiths (FDG).
Check out this article which talks about Cohr too!

Thanks for trying to help me with this one Vetraio. the second link that talked about cohr is no longer working, but Im going to look into more tomorrow. just happened to wake (as is normal for me) in the middle of the night here and looked at my email to see if there were any new postings to my items. Always have been an early riser. I love the silence in the mornings. do my best thinking of the day at this time. but do you see the third "C" in my crown or am I loosing it?
theres only 2 C's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Better be careful using those exclamation marks with me pal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol
Ok. 2 on yours, 3 on mine.
no.2 on yours and 2 on mine:).coms
I think the third 'c' is part of an orb with a crown on top.
Ok I have to bow to this one. I have two of the greats on here telling me it is just 2 "C"'s! LOL I just wanted to make sure, I am really new to this guys, didnt have to spank me and smack me around like this...lmao.
goodnight everybody:) winksssssssssss:)
Both of you have a good night's rest and a great Tuesday!
