This is one I've been wanting. It's far from mint to say the least, but I don't mind having it until I upgrade. The pics weren't the best so I made a fair offer and hoped the sign gods would work with me, lol...

Hey Tom, That sign looks like it was meant to hang right there. I love this version, 1940-41, right? Condition is just fine, displays real nice. Congrats on a real beauty.

Thanks guys!! I haven't tried to clean it up much yet, I don't want to scrub the rest of the paint off hehehe!

Right, with a sign such as this type, cleaning would be a dangerous proposition IMO. Better to just leave it as is.

Thanks Perry, your opinion is duly noted and regarded as sound advice from the sign-master!!!

I will add this is a thin gauge sign with embossed lettering. I have same version 1940. The paint seems less stable than my other tin signs because of the easy flex and stamped nature of the lettering. Some flaking present. Wipe lightly Tom!

      This guy wiped too hard...

OUCH... that one makes me feel real good about mine now. Mine was cheaper and not used as a floor mat for too long either
