Manikin
(493 items)

This is my 15 inch composition doll of a Waves (Navy) doll . They are much harder to find than the Wav (Army doll)
She is all original with her paper wav label still in place .

Ralph Freundlich started in the doll business in New York City during the 1920?s and in 1934 relocated his manufacturing operations to Clinton, MA. The company made composition dolls including mama dolls, celebrity dolls, storybook characters and military dolls. Their products were mostly cheaper quality but have personality. Most of their dolls are unmarked. After a fire destroyed the factory, the company filed for bankruptcy in 1945 and their assets were sold

Oh, Manikin, she's beautiful and wonderful!!! Love, love her!!! I have never seen one of these, and she looks to be in most excellent condition! I am thinking that the manufacturer was perhaps of German descent, as "Freundlich" is a German word and name....Spring approaches here. Clover blooming in front yard, peach tree and a flowering bush blooming in back yeard. Daffodils bloomed well, but were in decline, so I plucked the last ones for a floral arrangement. Are there any signs of Spring in your neck of the woods? Hope and pray that you are well! Take care! Regards, miKKo

Hi MiKKo thank you ! Not a sign of spring here :-( snow covered and cold , I am so tired of winter I might go mow the snow lol . Glad you liked my Navy girl , she was made in USA by a German so she is technically a USA girl and is uniform of USA Navy . I have the Army one also . Stay well my friend xo

Is it possible for you to help me identify a composition 24" mannequin that I own? I haven't been able to identify her. I can send a picture if you agree. Love your pictures and descriptions! They are awesome!
